Distinguished as Santa Cruz County's only early childhood program to be accredited by both the NAEYC and the Bureau of Jewish Education, Simcha Preschool is a full-year program with a rich history in the community, offering high quality, early learning experiences, with flexible schedules for children ages 2 - 5 years old. Founded in 1980, we now have alumni starting to come back as parents!
Our Mission
Our mission is to provide the highest quality in care as an accredited, developmental, cooperative preschool. We nourish early Jewish identity by celebrating Jewish heritage and traditions, while embracing the rich diversity of our larger Santa Cruz community.
Participation
We are a participation preschool. Families are given opportunities to be involved by either co-oping in the classroom or volunteering outside of the classroom each month. Whether it's grocery shopping, coming to a parenting workshop, helping out on a workday or assisting in the classroom, we remain an exemplary school because our families are involved in our program.

Simcha Parent Committee
Our parent committee meets at 6:30 pm on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, with childcare provided. Come and learn how you can be more involved! Co-op credit is provided for attendance.
